Grading and Assignments
Students will receive a vast variety of assignments in this course, all of which will be graded using a percentage of correct vs. incorrect answers (or rubric where applicable). Students will be graded on their ability to provide relevant content information to assignments, as well as their ability to write coherent, grammatically correct sentences. Remember, all answers must be written in complete sentences!
Homework Policy
All homework is due the school day after it is assigned. Late assignments will be subject to a one day grace period, meaning you have one day to turn in your homework for full credit. After one day, homework will count for half-credit. I will accept late homework assignments until the grades close for the quarter.
**Homework Bonus**
If any student hands in all homework assignments on time for the quarter, he or she will receive one 100% quiz grade added
to his or her quarterly average!
Grading Policy
I will calculate grades using the following formula:
15%- Homework
35%- Classwork/Class Participation
50%- Tests/Quizzes
Class Expectations
My classroom expectations are very straightforward. Above all else--under any circumstances, and at all times--everyone will be treated with respect. Students are expected to adhere to the guidelines covered in the Student Handbook, and I will respond according to school policy. I have a ZERO tolerance policy for bullying.
